The variety is an evergreen dwarf shrub 20–25 cm in height, sometimes reaching 60 cm. The plant has a compact upright habit and dark green needle-like foliage.
Flowering is of the mid-early type and occurs from August to September-October. The flower buds are colored a bright red or pink-purple wine shade and do not open completely, which ensures the durability of the decorative effect.
The variety is intended for group plantings, border edging, rock gardens, and container cultivation. The plant is hardy, drought tolerant after rooting, and requires planting in sunny areas or partial shade in acidic, well-drained soils.
