The plant is an evergreen shrub 30–40 cm tall with a compact upright or slightly spreading crown shape. The foliage is dark green, scale-like.
Flowering is of the bud-blooming type, where the buds do not open completely, ensuring long-lasting ornamental value from September to November. Flower color varies from pink-crimson to lilac shades.
Cultivation requires acidic soils with a pH level of 4.5–5.5 and placement in sunny areas or partial shade. The crop has frost resistance down to -26°C, is resistant to urban conditions, and requires annual spring pruning to maintain its shape.
