Variety description

The plant forms a compact and neat tussock. The leaves are stiff, evergreen, with a characteristic coloration of a dark green central part and silvery-white edges. The dimensions of the bush are 30–50 cm in height and width.

Flowering occurs from April to June and is accompanied by the appearance of brownish spikelets. The variety is resistant to diseases and lodging. It possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to –25...–26 °C, which corresponds to USDA zone 5.

It is used as a groundcover plant, for edging, shaded mixed borders, rock gardens, and container gardening. It is a mutation of the Carex oshimensis «Evergold» variety.
