Variety description

The plant is an upright shrub with golden-yellow leaves that have mint-green margins. The leaves are simple, lanceolate, serrated, and fragrant when crushed. Small lavender-blue flowers are gathered in compact corymbose inflorescences.
The variety is perennial and drought-tolerant after establishment; however, it does not tolerate waterlogged soil. In cold regions, the above-ground part may die back in winter, which requires annual spring pruning to stimulate the growth of new shoots.
The plant is used in ornamental gardening for creating borders, low hedges, or container cultivation. The variety is also a honey plant that attracts bees and butterflies.
