Variety description

10 August 2026

The cultivar is a traditional landrace rather than a product of modern breeding. It has been historically grown in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and propagated for centuries within the framework of traditional horticulture.

The fruits of the cultivar are characterized by the difficulty of separating the pellicle from the kernel, which makes them unsuitable for fresh consumption and directs production toward flour processing. Genetically, the cultivar differs from the Marroni group of varieties.
