The variety is characterized by early flowering and the presence of mesoestaminate-type flowers that produce a large amount of pollen, making it sought after for establishing new plantations. The morphological characteristics of the leaves and the plant correspond to the typical species.

The fruits are of medium size and possess good nutritional quality. The variety is suitable for various types of processing, including the production of puree and marmalade. Local synonyms include the names Serodias, Ouriza, Serodia Pozo Mar, Monfortina and Verdello.
