The variety belongs to the industrial group of chicory intended for industrial processing. Main areas of use include the extraction of inulin, used as a prebiotic and sweetener, as well as the production of a coffee substitute from the roots.
Breeding of the variety is aimed at increasing root yield, optimizing the content and quality of inulin, as well as reducing the concentration of free sugars and asparagine, which allows for reducing the formation of acrylamide during the roasting process.
