The LISBON tree is vigorous and energetic, reaching a height of 4–6 meters in open field conditions. The crown is dense and spreading, and thorns are often present on the branches. The variety is remontant and is capable of flowering and fruiting several times during the year, distinguished by abundant yield.

The fruits have an elongated-oval shape with a characteristic nipple and a neck-like constriction. The rind is smooth, becomes bright yellow upon full maturity, and is of medium thickness. The fruit pulp is very juicy and possesses high acidity.

The plant is distinguished by high heat and drought tolerance, and is also capable of withstanding lower temperatures compared to a number of other lemon varieties. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation due to the quality of the fruits and their high transportability.
