Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 m (sometimes up to 2.5 m). The shoots do not cling to supports by themselves, so the variety can be used as a groundcover or hanging plant, or grown against supports in gardens and containers.

Flowers are bell-shaped, nodding, 3–5 cm in diameter, cobalt-violet in color with a light edge and twisted petal tips, possessing a light fragrance. Foliage is compound, green in color with a purple margin.

The variety belongs to pruning group 3; flowering occurs on current-year shoots from June to September. The plant is winter hardy (zone 5, withstands frosts down to –34 °C) and resistant to diseases.
