The plant is a climber that attaches to supports using leaf petioles. Leaves are dark green, heart-shaped, consisting of two to three leaflets or simple. Flowering occurs from mid-June to the end of July, with possible secondary, less abundant flowering at the end of September.
The variety has high winter hardiness (zone 4) and requires light, fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soils. In March, hard pruning to a height of 30–50 cm from the ground is recommended. For cultivation, it requires supports such as trellises, obelisks, or screens; it is also suitable for container growing.
