Deciduous climbing vine with a height of 1.5–2.5 m. The flowers are large, 15–20 cm in diameter, with ruffled petals of a bluish-lilac-pink color with a brighter pink stripe in the center. The outer side of the petals is violet with a greenish stripe; anthers are reddish-brown on cream-violet filaments.

Early-flowering variety, belongs to pruning group 2. Flowering is two-fold: the first in May–June on the previous year's shoots, the second on current year's shoots from August to September. Suitable for vertical landscaping and container cultivation.

The plant has good winter hardiness and tolerance to temperatures down to -30°C. It clings to supports using leaf petioles, providing itself with natural support.
