Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 1.0–1.7 m and possesses an upright habit, requiring tying to supports. The flowers have an open bell-shaped form, a diameter of 7–10 cm, and are colored violet-blue with contrasting cream-white stamens. Each flower consists of four often slightly twisted sepals and possesses a light fragrance.

Flowering occurs on current-year shoots from June to August or September, which requires annual hard pruning to the ground level in late winter or early spring. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness (USDA zones 4a–8b) and resistance to diseases, particularly wilt. It is used in landscape design for mixed borders and for creating arrangements on supports.
