Variety description

10 August 2026

Trees of the Dorris variety have moderate growth vigor, accounting for approximately 60% of the size of the Barcelona variety, and tend to form a spreading canopy. The variety is characterized by high fruiting efficiency, with nut maturation timing coinciding with the Barcelona variety.

The nuts are of medium size, with a kernel percentage of approximately 43% of their weight. The product is distinguished by high quality and the ability to be easily blanched, which makes the variety in demand for the confectionery industry, as well as suitable for in-shell marketing.

The plant possesses genetic resistance to the fungus Anisogramma anomala, which causes eastern filbert blight, and resistance to the big bud mite Phytoptus avellanae.
