The variety is a vegetatively propagated rootstock for pear grafting. Regarding its influence on the scion, it is considered semi-dwarfing, occupying an intermediate position between Quince C and Quince A rootstocks.
Nursery growers use this material due to its good compatibility with pear and the ability to regulate the size of grafted trees. Like other quince types, the rootstock can be sensitive to high soil pH levels and frosts.
