Cydora Robusta
ActiveCydonia oblonga Mill. · Quince
10 August 2026
The rootstock has a dwarfing effect on the scion, ensuring a dwarf or semi-dwarf tree type. It is characterized by moderate to good compatibility with most pear varieties, however, an interstock is required when working with incompatible varieties.
The plant is sensitive to winter cold, high summer temperatures, and excessive moisture, which creates a risk of root asphyxia. Sensitivity to drought conditions and calcareous soils is also noted. The method of propagation is layering (stooling).
