The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and a powerful branched canopy, whose scaffold branches may bend toward the ground under the weight of the fruit. It belongs to autumn varieties with a harvest period in the first half of October.
The fruits are very large, weighing from 400 to 1500 g, and have golden-yellow smooth skin with fuzz. The pale yellow flesh is sweet and sour and aromatic, though it possesses moderate juiciness.
The variety is triploid with sterile pollen; therefore, the presence of other pollinator varieties is necessary in the orchard to ensure yields. The trees are more prone to diseases and pests than some other common varieties.
