The fruits are very large, varying in shape from pear-shaped to rounded. The skin is firm, smooth, and bright yellow. The flesh is juicy and firm, with a characteristic strong aroma and sweet-and-sour taste.

The fruits are valued for their suitability for processing into jams, confectionery, and alcoholic beverages. The harvest ripens during the summer-autumn period.
