Variety description

The inflorescences are oval or ovate in shape, with a diameter and length of approximately 10–15 cm. The bracts are colored green-brown with dark purple shades, due to which the variety may also be referred to by the name Rouge Salambo.

The plant is vegetatively propagated and is characterized by a compact appearance. It prefers sunny areas and well-drained soils; it is sensitive to waterlogging, which can cause root rot.

The variety maintains good marketable appearance and color during sale. In breeding, it was used as a male component in the development of the F1-hybrid Concerto.
