The variety is autochthonous to the Ribera Alta region in Navarre, Spain. The produce is characterized by high consumer properties, which allows it to be used both in home cooking and in the canning and freezing industries.

The plant belongs to high-yielding varieties with an upright leaf position. Depending on conditions and planting dates, yield can reach 76.9 t/ha. The standard production cycle includes planting in July with harvesting in December, with harvest scheduling practiced to ensure supply.
