The variety Mirage 2 (also Mirage II, code CIS-CD6) was developed by crossing Bermuda grass varieties to improve adaptation to northern conditions and increase resistance to winterkill. It demonstrates early spring green-up, high shoot density, and a prostrate growth habit.

The plant possesses high wear tolerance, is adapted to low mowing, and forms a dense turf. The variety shows resistance to dollar spot and spring dead spot, and is intended for use on sports fields, golf courses, in parks, and on playgrounds.
