The variety was developed at the Shatilovskaya experimental station and became widespread in the middle of the 20th century. The plant is characterized as a good honey plant, the honey productivity indicator of which reaches 330 kg of nectar per hectare.
The grain of this variety was recognized as high-quality due to its technological properties. During the period of active cultivation, the variety demonstrated a yield increase of 1.2 to 2.7 c/ha compared to the standard variety Bogatyr and was successfully cultivated in the Non-Chernozem region, the Volga region, the Central Black Earth Region, Western Siberia, and in Ukraine.
