The variety is a variegated leaf and fruit mutation of the Bourjassotte Grise variety, known in France since the 17th century. The fruits weighing about 40 grams have a pear-like shape with a pronounced neck. The skin is characterized by longitudinal stripes ranging from light green to yellow with green stripes.

The variety is single-harvest, producing only the main crop, which ripens in late August — September. The fruit pulp is sweet. Due to late ripening, the variety requires a long period of warm weather for high-quality crop formation.

The name Col di Signora Bianca Panachée in historical literature is often an erroneous classification of the Panachée variety. The variety is valued by gardeners for the decorative appearance of its fruits and leaves.
