The tree is characterized by good vigor and has deeply lobed, usually 3- or 5-lobed leaves. The fruits are oval to elongated-pyriform in shape; the skin is dark purple or black, often with light longitudinal stripes. The fruit flesh is bright red and characterized by a high sugar content.
The variety is a bifera, producing two crops per year: the first in June-July, the second in August-September. Yield is high. The variety is self-fertile and parthenocarpic, not requiring mandatory pollination by insects. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and drying.
