The Miljska smokva variety, also known as Miljska figa, is distributed on the Milje peninsula and in the Ankaran area. The tree has medium vigor, a sparse canopy, and an open growth habit. The leaves are small, light green, with a medium degree of lobing, featuring a cordate or open sagittate base and irregularly wavy margins.
The variety produces one crop per year. The ripening period of the main crop begins on August 20 and lasts from 20 to 40 days. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, sun-drying or drying in special dehydrators, and processing into pastes and desserts. Cultivation is adapted to the coastal climate of Slovenia.
