The Miuščica variety, also known by the synonyms Miljska figa, Mivšca, Mužjanka, Črnica, Plavka, Ravanka, and Miljska smokva, is an indigenous variety widespread on the Muggia Peninsula and in the Ankaran area. The plant forms a tree of medium vigor with an open habit and a sparse canopy.
The leaves of the variety are small, light green, with 3–7 segments and an unevenly wavy margin; the leaf base is cordate or has an open acuminate shape. The variety is single-cropping, and the fruits are traditionally used for sun-drying or drying in special chambers, as well as for fresh consumption.
