Violetta
ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
The variety is bifere and produces two crops per year. Brebas ripen from mid-May to the end of June, have a pyriform shape, smooth light yellow-green skin, and light brownish-pink flesh with a moderately sweet taste. The main crop ripens in autumn and is distinguished by the turbinate shape of the fruits, smooth light yellow-green skin, and sweet dark-brown flesh with a fine texture.
The fruits are large in caliber, about 12 pieces per 1 kg. The variety is well adapted to cultivation on non-irrigated land (bogara). Brebas have medium resistance to handling, while the main crop fruits tolerate transport poorly. The variety may be a synonym for the Blanca variety from Huelva.
