The variety represents the genetic heritage of regional hop growing and is not a product of modern industrial breeding. Growing features include complex agrotechnics and the formation of dense hop cones, which can complicate the mechanized harvesting process. The variety is characterized by good drought tolerance.
The alpha-acid content is 3–6%, beta-acid content 3–5%, and total oil content varies within the range of 0.5–1.2 ml/100 g. The aromatic profile is classified as "noble" with spicy and herbal notes characteristic of Bavarian hop growing. It is used primarily as an aromatic variety for the production of traditional regional beer styles.
