Variety description

The variety belongs to the mid-late or late maturity group. The plant has green or light green leaves; the length of lateral shoots is 30–60 cm. The variety shows moderate resistance to downy mildew.

The alpha-acid content is 7–11%, beta-acids — about 4%. The essential oil content ranges from 1.3–1.6 ml/100 g, the humulene/caryophyllene ratio is 1.8–2.1. The variety is characterized by low storage stability, retaining about 50% of alpha-acids after six months of storage at room temperature.

Due to its characteristics, the variety is used both for bitterness and for flavoring beer. It is suitable for brewing various styles, including pale ales and Belgian ales.
