The variety is a diploid hybrid derived from a cross between Northern Brewer and a Slovenian male plant. The plant forms a dense cylindrical or basket-shaped crown with thin, highly branched bines and small, dark green leaves. The medium-sized, oval cones are resistant to shattering during mechanical harvesting.

The hop shows good resistance to powdery mildew and verticillium wilt, and is moderately resistant to downy mildew. Yield ranges from 1300 to 3500 kg/ha. Alpha-acid content varies from 3.5–7.8%, beta-acids — 4.0–6.1%, total essential oil content is 0.7–4.0 ml/100 g.

Used as a dual-purpose variety in the production of lagers, pilsners, and various ale styles. Possesses an intense aromatic profile with hints of citrus, pine, sage, flowers, and spicy herbs, and is also characterized by good storage stability.
