The variety is a hybrid of the English Northern Brewer and a Slovenian wild male plant. The plant forms medium-wide cylindrical bines with dense, intensely green cones 25–29 mm long. The variety is considered mid-early to mid-late, with technological maturity occurring at the end of August.
The hop possesses moderate resistance to downy mildew and is suitable for mechanical harvesting. The alpha-acid content is 6.5–12.6%, beta-acid content 2.7–5.5%, cohumulone 22–28%, and essential oils 0.9–1.8 ml/100 g. The aromatic profile includes notes of lemongrass, pine, anise, and tea.
It is used for providing bitterness and aroma in a wide spectrum of beer styles, including lagers, pilsners, and various types of ales.
