The rootstock is a hybrid of Cleopatra mandarin (Citrus reshni) and trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata). It provides high growth vigor to grafted trees. In the early years, tree productivity may be low, but in maturity, they show high yields; the rootstock also influences the mineral composition of the fruits.

It possesses high resistance to Phytophthora, citrus tristeza virus (CTV), and nematodes. It shows viability in regions affected by citrus greening disease (HLB). It is well adapted to conditions of alkaline and saline soils, and the developed root system ensures high-quality tree anchorage.
