Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Cleopatra mandarin (Citrus reshni) and Poncirus trifoliata (cv. 'Rubidoux'), obtained by traditional breeding followed by in vitro maturation of hybrid seedlings. As a rootstock, it has a semi-dwarfing or sub-standard effect on the growth of the grafted plant.

This rootstock is characterized by high resistance to citrus tristeza virus (CTV) and Phytophthora. It was developed to improve the adaptability of citrus to saline soils and conditions with high lime content, which cause iron chlorosis.
