The variety is a hybrid of Sunki mandarin and Swingle trifoliate. It is used as a rootstock for oranges, grapefruit, and mandarins, inducing medium to large tree growth. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by good yields and high fruit weight indicators.

The plant possesses good resistance to the citrus tristeza virus. Research also confirms its ability to maintain tree productivity when exposed to huanglongbing disease. The variety stimulates active vegetative growth, which may cause it to yield less than dwarfing rootstocks in terms of yield efficiency.
