The variety is a medium-sized plant, often exhibiting a dwarfing effect on the scion when used as a rootstock. The fruits are considered inedible due to high acid content and a specific taste.

The plant possesses high frost resistance, resistance to Citrus tristeza virus, Phytophthora, tolerance to citrus blight, and a certain level of resistance to nematodes. It is moderately tolerant to soil salinity but is not suitable for cultivation on heavy clay or calcareous soils.

As a rootstock, the variety positively influences the fruit quality of the scions, promoting good taste and high sugar content.
