The RUBIRA variety is classified as a common peach and is not a hybrid with Prunus davidiana, although it is often used as a maternal form in the creation of such hybrids. In nurseries, seedlings demonstrate uniform and vigorous growth, providing grafted varieties a reduction in vigor of 15–20% compared to the GF 677 rootstock.

For ornamental purposes, the variety is valued for its dark red or black-red foliage, which may acquire a dark green hue by mid-June. The plant produces edible, medium-sized, red-yellow fruits. The variety possesses resistance to Myzus persicae and low susceptibility to powdery mildew.
