The rootstock is semi-dwarfing. It possesses high resistance to soil waterlogging and crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaciens), as well as relative resistance to Phytophthora root rot (Phytophthora cryptogea).

On highly calcareous soils, chlorosis may occur due to nutritional issues. When using the rootstock, a tendency toward earlier fruit ripening is noted, with lower cumulative yield compared to more vigorous rootstocks.
