Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 1.5–2.5 meters and a width of 1–2 meters. The leaves have a lanceolate shape and a velvety surface. During the flowering period in July–August, it forms large flat or slightly convex inflorescences consisting of small lavender or purple fertile flowers and white sterile bracts.
The variety prefers partial shade and requires fertile, moist, drained soils with an acidic or neutral reaction. Regular watering is recommended, as direct midday sunlight can cause leaf burn. The shrub is characterized by good winter hardiness and is suitable for solitary and group plantings, as well as container cultivation.
