The variety belongs to the lacecap hydrangea group, having flat inflorescences with small fertile flowers in the center and a ring of large sterile flowers on the periphery. A characteristic feature is the pointed double or triple petals of the sterile flowers, which point in different directions.

At maturity, the shrub reaches dimensions of 1.2 by 1.2 meters. The foliage has a dark green hue. The flowering period lasts from June to August, with the color of the flowers depending on the acidity of the soil: in acidic soils they turn blue, and in more alkaline ones they turn pink. The plant prefers partial shade and can be grown in gardens or containers.
