Variety description

The shrub reaches a height and width of 1–1.2 meters, in some cases up to 2 meters. The leaves have a distinct wrinkled texture and deep veining; they are medium green in summer, turning burgundy-red or bronze-purple in autumn.

Flowering occurs in June–July. The inflorescences are long cone-shaped panicles consisting of large white sterile flowers and small greenish fertile flowers with a light fragrance.

The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness. It is demanding of soil moisture and requires regular watering, especially during the flowering period, but does not tolerate waterlogging well.
