The variety BRIHON (trade name Little Honey) is a spontaneous mutation of the Pee Wee variety. It is a slow-growing spreading shrub, reaching 0.9–1.2 m in height at maturity, sometimes up to 1.5 m.
A distinctive feature is the leaves, colored golden-yellow in spring and summer, transitioning to crimson tones in autumn. The white cone-shaped inflorescences reach a length of 12 cm and bloom from June to August, acquiring a pink tint as they fade.
The plant is winter hardy in USDA zones 5–9. The variety is characterized by a need for protection from direct midday sun while maintaining good light levels for color development, as well as a preference for moist, drained soils.
