The shrub forms a dense rounded crown and reaches a height of 1.2–1.8 m with a width of up to 1.5–2.4 m. The large leaves are oak-shaped, dark green in summer, and acquire bronze, orange, and purple shades in autumn. Strong shoots hold the large inflorescences in an upright position even during precipitation.
Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots from late spring or early summer until August. Conical inflorescences 20–30 cm long consist primarily of sterile flowers, which are pure white at first and then turn pink. The bark of old branches peels off, revealing reddish-brown layers.
The variety possesses disease resistance and winter hardiness in USDA zones 5–9; however, at temperatures below -20°C, damage to flower buds is possible. The plant is suitable for group and solitary plantings, creating borders, and use in cut flower arrangements.
