The variety is a diploid type of Westerwold ryegrass, which is a strictly annual variety of Italian ryegrass. The plant is intended for intensive use for hay, haylage, and green fodder.

The variety possesses high dry matter yield and intensive development in the year of sowing. Qualitative characteristics include high digestibility and energy concentration with a relatively low lignin content. The plants are resistant to lodging.
