The Belamour variety is a chance seedling that was identified in Germany at a site used for composting pomace from apple juice pressing. Due to the attractive appearance of the fruits, their outstanding aroma, and the high viability of the plant, the variety was selected for propagation.
A key feature of this apple tree is its high natural resistance. This property allows the variety to be cultivated without the use of chemical plant protection measures. The fruits possess an unusual, distinct aroma, which is why the variety is sometimes described as a "happiness apple."
2 jurisdictions
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
