The tree grows weakly or moderately, reaching a height of 4–6 meters, and forms a wide, densely branched crown. The fruits are flat-round in shape, often with five ribs, and reach a weight of about 250 g. The skin is smooth, yellow when ripe with a reddish striped blush; the flesh is greenish-white, moderately juicy, and of medium density.
A winter variety with harvest maturity in late October and consumer maturity starting in February; fruits can be stored until June. Trees are resistant to wind and major diseases, including scab, but are sensitive to severe frost. Yield is high, but often exhibits periodicity. The fruits have a pleasant sweet-and-sour taste and cook down well.
