Trees are vigorous at the beginning of growth, later becoming medium-sized, with a characteristic drooping crown prone to branch bareness. The variety requires regular pruning to prevent overcrowding and alternate bearing.

Fruits are of winter maturity, reaching harvest maturity in October, consumed from December, and can be stored until June. The skin is rough, green-yellow, sometimes with a blush; the flesh is white, firm, fragrant, with a refreshing acidity.

The variety has moderate susceptibility to scab and a tendency to be affected by canker. Young wood is sensitive to frost after a heavy harvest. Fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, retaining flesh structure during thermal processing.
