The variety is historical, with the first mention dating back to 1856. It is assumed that it originates from Tyrol and is a variety of the Böhmer cultivar. The variety did not gain widespread popularity in commercial horticulture, although it was observed in cultivation in some regions, including the historical region of Kartli in Georgia.
The fruits ripen in October, have a round-flattened shape and medium size. The variety possesses good keeping quality, allowing the fruits to be stored until late spring without loss of quality. Studies note a high content of polyphenols, including procyanidin B2, chlorogenic acid, and epicatechin. The variety is used as a genetic resource or raw material for processing.
