The tree is noted for good productivity and blooms in April. The fruits have an oblong shape, yellow-orange skin with characteristic russet lenticels, and white, moderately juicy flesh with an acidic taste.

Harvesting takes place in September. The fruits are suitable for consumption 20 days after harvest and have good keeping quality, lasting until January under proper storage conditions. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.

Genetically, GIALLO DI PRIUSO 1 and GIALLO DI PRIUSO 2 are identical. The variety is also known by the local names Pigne d’unvièr and Zâl di Muner and is part of a project to protect the biodiversity of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region.
