The variety is a winter one; harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in mid-to-late October, and consumption maturity from December to March. The tree is vigorous or medium-sized with a wide crown. The variety requires deep, nutrient-rich soils and a mild climate with high air humidity.
The apple tree is prone to powdery mildew and, due to high cultivation requirements, is rarely found in commercial fruit growing. It is a triploid variety, therefore it has low pollen quality and requires the presence of pollinators.
The fruits are medium-sized, about 6–7 cm wide, with a regular shape. The skin is dry, the ground color varies from greenish-yellow to pale golden-yellow with a red striped blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, becomes looser upon ripening, and possesses a sweet nutmeg aroma.
