The tree is vigorous, with a spreading crown and a mixed type of fruiting. The fruits are medium to large in size, often of an irregular, slightly ribbed shape. The skin is smooth, thin, and when ripe is yellow-green with red stripes or a blush. The flesh is yellowish, juicy, crisp, with a distinct aroma.

The variety is classified as a summer variety; fruit ripening is often uneven and extended over several weeks. The fruits have a short shelf life and are prone to dropping. The variety is versatile: suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, and the production of juices and cider.

The variety is moderately susceptible to scab and powdery mildew, and is prone to the viral disease "witches' broom". Trees prefer a moderate, humid climate and tolerate extreme heat poorly, under which the fruits become small and mealy.
