The tree is vigorous, reaching 5 meters in height, with a wide crown and strong wood. The variety is triploid, produces non-viable pollen, and requires pollinator varieties. The variety is demanding of soil: it prefers nutritious, moderately moist sites and tolerates heavy clay soils poorly.

Winter variety, harvest maturity occurs in October, consumption is possible from December to March-April. Fruits are medium to large in size, round-flattened in shape, sometimes asymmetrical or ribbed. The skin is dry, rough, ranging from grayish-green to yellow-brown with characteristic russeting.

The flesh is yellowish-white, aromatic, with a sweet-sour taste. The variety is relatively resistant to scab, but can be affected by powdery mildew, cancer, and bacterial burn. Winter hardiness is good, however, the fruits are prone to pre-harvest drop.
